Daylight Savings Trivia Activity

Welcome to St. Patrick’s Day Trivia! People all across the world change the time on the clocks inside their homes. Cell phones will change this time all on their own. This is called Daylight Savings Time (DST). Daylight Savings changes the amount of daylight we have depending on the time of year. In this three-part activity, you’ll guide students through an informational reading, trivia quiz game, and an exit ticket where they can reflect on what they’ve learned and design their own trivia questions Students will: 1. READ the “Trivia: St. Patrick’s Day” informational reading together or assign it as independent reading. 2. PLAY the “Trivia: St. Patrick’s Day” Trivia Quiz Game together as a class divided into small teams, and 3. REFLECT individually with an exit ticket. Students will share how they feel, what they learned, and have an opportunity to ask or design a question.
