World Environment Day Activities

World Environment Day is celebrated each year on June 5. Like Earth Day and World Ocean Day, this day is dedicated to bringing awareness to environmental issues. In addition, it offers an opportunity for all people to learn about and honor the value and beauty of the natural world.
The main goal of this day is to promote and encourage actions and behaviors that can protect the environment. Small actions can make a big difference.
In many classrooms across the globe, nature is celebrated in books, projects, and activities that allow young people to build their respect for and knowledge of the earth’s environment. Many children study different climates, animals, and current challenges that exist.
