Free Verse Poems Anchor Chart
A free verse anchor chart is an excellent way to share a model poem and remind students that free verse poetry, as the name suggests, is not confined by certain rules and patterns. Anchor charts can be displayed in a classroom, digitally, or put into folders for students to take home as they work on specific tasks. Free verse poems can help students express their ideas with more ease and it's likely that different students will generate very different poems. This is a wonderful way to learn about their interests and skills. For your next back-to-school task, ask students to write a free verse poem that introduces who they are to the class!
