Adverbs Which One Doesn’t Belong

For a wonderful visual exercise about adverbs, students can use this one-page downloadable worksheet. Students will review ten different illustrations and select the adverb that does NOT align or depict what is in each graphic. Have students review their work with their groups or review as a whole class to ensure that all students understand the use of adverbs. Encourage students to apply this skill as they read book with pictures and illustrations. Use this one-page downloadable worksheet to encourage students to work slowly and methodically in order to determine which word best captures the graphic.
