Analyze Slant Rhymes Sonnet Activity
Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poem, "How Do I Love Thee?," gives students an opportunity to see a poet using slant rhyme. Students should circle or label the words that contain slant rhymes. After this, students will analyze the poem itself in order to understand how the language, including the carefully-chosen slant rhyme words, contribute to the overall meaning of the poem.
