Basho Haiku Activity

Haikus have existed for many centuries. Use this one-page downloadable worksheet to engage students in the world of haiku. Students will read two different haiku poems by the same poet and determine what the poems have in common. Use this worksheet to facilitate collaboration among students and help them meet literacy standards. Ask students to share their ideas aloud with one another to build classroom community.
