Countable and Uncountable Nouns: Worksheets, Definition, and Examples

Welcome to our countable and uncountable noun worksheets section! Countable nouns are nouns that can be counted, such as “rock” or “banana.” They are generally singular or plural and can be quantified with numbers. For example, we can say “four rocks” or “five bananas.” On the other hand, non-countable nouns cannot be counted in the same way. They are often used to refer to things that are abstract or unquantifiable, such as “wind” or “information.” We can’t say “one wind” or “two informations.”

In the worksheets that follow, students will practice identifying countable and non-countable nouns in a variety of contexts.
