Figurative Language Metaphor Activity (1)
There are all different types of figurative language that writers use to bring rich detail to their pieces. Whether it's a novel or poetry, the technique of figurative language can express what cannot be communicated through standard language. With this worksheet, students will read a total of ten sentence and then identify the figurative language, specifically metaphors, that each sentence includes. They'll confirm whether or not a sentence contains or does not contain a metaphor by placing an "M" or an "N" at the end of each sentence. This metaphor worksheet could be a great one as a bell-ringer or homework task to confirm student understanding! Find more
