Fill in the Blanks with Action Verbs

This twelve-sentence matching activity will give your students a chance to practice and deepen their skills. After reviewing all sentences, they can choose which action verbs belong in each sentence. This is a great way to incorporate choice but also differentiate instuction for learners of different backgrounds andstrengths. As always, review action words first to access recall of previously learner vocabulary. As an added exercise, you can also have students use these sentences as models and write their own unique sentences about topics of interest or those they're studying in class.
