Find the Action Verbs Reading Activity

We love a good hunt and we know your students will, too! Use this paragraph about a child's time in a park to help your students confirm their understanding of action verbs. Students will read the five-sentence paragraph and then circle every action verb. To support student learning, always review what an action verb is and encourage students to confirm their understanding multiple times. To foster creativity as students work, ask them which other action words could be used to enhance the paragraph or extend the story. Paragraphs like these can serve as an excellent starting point for longer writing opportunities. Check out all of our printable action verbs sheets.
