Haiku at the Zoo Activity
Connecting with nature is what haikus are all about. In order to solidify this in students' minds, learners will imagine a day at the zoo where the see many animals and other sights. They'll use their notes and brainstorming to write their own haiku. There are helpful prompts about what students saw, heard, and felt as they imagined this wonderful day in order to help them get started with the task of writing original haikus. Use this one-page downloadable haiku worksheet to get learners excited about writing haikus and to get their imaginations going wild!
