Match the Action Verbs Activity

Action words often serve as builing blocks for developing student expression. Some of the very first words children learn are verbs! Use this downloable one-page worksheet to help students use action verbs they may already be familiar with. First, review all of the action verbs with the students to access their prior knowledge. Finally, have them work independently, in small groups as partners, or as a whole class to determine which words belong with which sentences.
