My First Visit to the North Pole Writing Activity
Want to know what your students might do if they ventured to the North Pole for the first time? Us, too! Have your students write a creative short story about their first visit to the North Pole. What will they see, hear, and do? Encourage them to write a story that rich in detail and to do some careful planning so that their story has a beginning, middle, and end. We love this exercise as a way to get students thinking creatively, writing, and enaging in the practice of revising, which is essential to their skill development. Learners should be prepared to share their stories-- this collaboation will engage and inspire!
