Possessive Adjectives Worksheets

It’s your turn to learn about possessive adjectives and practice your skills with our possessive adjectives worksheets! Possessive adjectives show ownership or possession and to whom something belongs. These adjectives are always placed before a noun. Possessive adjectives include: “my,” “your,” “his,” “her,” “its,” “our,” and “their.”
For example, if you say, “My room is upstairs,” you are using the possessive adjective “my” to show that the room belongs to you. In the sentence, “That’s your bike,” the word “your” is a possessive adjective that shows that the bike belongs to the person you are talking to. Another example is, “His bike is red.” Here, the word “his” is a possessive adjective that tells us the bike belongs to a boy or a man. Likewise, we can also say, “Her dog is cute.” In this sentence, “her” is a possessive adjective indicating that the dog belongs to a girl or a woman. Possessive adjectives allow us to communicate who owns or possesses different things.
