Practicing Alliteration Word Groups Activity
When writing original poetry that contains alliteration, working with word groups is a helpful way for students to understand which words make similar sounds. Remember, they may be inclined to use words that are spelled similarly ,but it's important to encourage them to determine words that have sounds in common, like the words "use" and "yellow." In this worksheet, students will complete a table by reviewing the starting words. After students read each starting word, they will then decide on three words that start with the same sound and have the same alliterative quality.
