Acrostic Poem Drawing Activity

This worksheet on acrostic poems will appeal to many learners in your classroom. The directions ask students to read the poem, noting the starting letter of each line. This starting letter will help students understand the theme of the poem. In addition to this, students will use what they've read to generate a scene from the poem or draw the pictures and images that come to mind. This is a wonderful way to create the connection between what we read and the images that fill our heads as we do. This one-page downloadable is an excellent way to begin your poetry lesson or conclude a day of learning about acrostic poems. Check out all of our acrostic poem learning activities.
