Fill in the Blanks with Helping Verbs

It's time to determine how ten different helping verbs fit into the sentences on this downloadable worksheet. Prior to working, review what helping verbs are and share several examples to activate prior knowledge. Finally, give students time to review, use process of elimination, and double check their work before sharing answers together as a whole class. If students require additional challenge, encourage them to write their own sentences that include helping verbs.
