Repetition Poetry Writing Activity
Repetition is an important part of both speeches and poetry. Any time an idea is repeated, the author wants to emphasize something! Students will have a chance to read a poem about a specific season and reflect on why that season is important to the reader's understanding of that poem. After that, students will write a unique four-line poem. They should be sure to plan and proofread their work in order to present their best effort. Encourage your students to pick their favorite season and use rich details to immerse the audience in the beauty of that special time. This one-page repetition worksheet is a wonderful way to help students understand this writing technique.
