Rewrite with Linking Verbs Activity

In order to challenge learners, have them work on these twelve sentences, which ask them to rewrite shorter sentences to contain linking verbs. This is a great chance for students to pause, reflect, plan, and write. To offer student choice, ask them to complete some independently and work on others with a partner. Don't forget to create an answer key so everyone can review together or on their own. This type of task is important for early literacy development, so be sure to include it in your next grammar lesson! Check out all of our linking verbs printable PDFs.
